Utthanapadasana (Raised Leg Posture)Procedure: Lie on your back with the legs straight and close together. Place your hands close and parallel to the body with the palms facing the floor. Raise your legs from the waist downwards so that (depending on your flexibility) they are at least 9 to 18 inches above the floor. (Alternately, you may, without bending your elbows raise your hands up in folded position paralle to the legs.) Hold on to this posture for 20-30 seconds, then gently bring your legs down onto the floor. Take rest in Shavasana (Corpse Posture). Repeat thrice.

Cures/Relieves: Hernia, Constipation, Dysentery, Gas, Fat tummy.
