A few precautions

A Word of Caution[1] Patients with high blood pressure should sidestep from all forward bending postures.
[2] Yoga isn't advised in cases of Tuberculosis , Hepatitis, Cancer & Hemorrhage.
[3] Ladies must consult an expert on what exercises are right for them, if any, during the menstruation period & during pregnancy.
[4] Although you may do Yoga 15 minutes after light snacking, Yoga should not be practised immediately after a heavy meal.
[5] If you have glaucoma or disorders of the retina or optic nerve, then the Head-stand (Shirshasana) & the Rabbit posture (Shashangasana) are strictly prohibited.
[6] In case of Hernia, avoid the Bow Posture (Dhanurasana), Peacock Posture (Mayurasana) & Yogamudra - as these exercises increase the abdominal pressure.
[7] In cases of slipped disc or similar back/neck pain - all forward bending postures are strictly forbiddden.
[8] If you suffer from Peptic Ulcer then Abdomen Contraction Posture (Uddiyana), Yogamudra (Symbol of Yoga posture),  Anti-flatulent posture (Pawan-muktasana), and Posterior stretching posture (Paschimottasana) should be avoided at all costs.
[9] Shavasana (Corpse posture) should be done after every exercise to relax the body.
[10] Sitting in Vajrasana (Thunder Posture) for 5 - 10 minutes after every meal is excellent for digestion.
[11] Fish posture (Matsyasana) or Camel Posture (Ustrasana) should be practiced after Plough Posture (Halasana), Rabbit-Posture (Shasangasana) and Shoulder Stand (Sarvangasana)
