The Date: July 28, 1900.
The Place: Monza, Italy.
When King Umberto arrived at a restaurant for a sumptous dinner little did he know
that this was going to be his last. He was scheduled to attend an athletics meet in Monza
the following day. While having dinner he noticed the owner of the restaurant looked
exactly like him. During their conversation many more similarities were revealed. The
owner of the restaurant was also named Umberto and like the King he too was born in
Turin, Italy on the same day as the King. Umberto, the restaurant owner married a girl
named Margherita on the same day King Umberto married his Queen Margherita !!! Not only
that Umberto opened his restaurant on the day Umberto I was crowned King of Italy. The
King was so intrigued by these similarities that he invited the restaurant owner to attend
the athletics meet with him the following day. But not seeing his invitee around in the
stadium the King asked his aid what had happenned, when he was informed that the
restaurant owner had died that morning in a freak shooting accident. Moments later King
Umberto I was himself shot dead by a radical insurgent present in the crowd.
