A child born in the Year of the Rooster

(Also: Read about the grown-up Rooster )

Rooster

The child born in the Year of the Rooster will be a self-starter in life. A good student, (even a bookworm) with a quick mind and a diligent nature, he will always be inquisitive with a lot of unanswered questions. The Rooster child will be neat and clean and meticulous to the last detail, and sometimes in extreme cases this planning the simplest routine with military precision might leave his parents somewhat exasperated. Among all his friends the Rooster child will save the most allowance at the end of the month. As he hates secrecy and pretense of virtue, the Rooster-Child can be the most discriminating critic and will come out with the most accurate observations and brutally honest judgements. He does not do this to antagonize anyone, but people do get offended. Unlike the Sheep-Child he is self-reliant, and due to this fiercely independent spirit he doesn’t care about what others think of him, but this is a delicate balance he has to strike later on in life. Many millionaires were born in the year of the Rooster and they all have one other thing in common besides their fabulous wealth - they were all a bit capricious. On the negative side a Rooster Child may be blind to his own faults.
