A child born in the Year of the Dragon

Dragon

The child born in the Year of the Dragon is energetic, independent, an original thinker & an inventor. Bold yet charismatic, he will have an idealistic perspective of life - and for that all the principles that he will stand for will be conceived quite early in his life. He will never ask for help even when in trouble, but that doesn’t mean he is insolent & discourteous. But when the time comes to exert his rights he can be unbending even in the face of ridicule. This child prefers that he be worthwhile to his parents in some form than just being loved merely for the fact that he is their child. He will wish, nay demand, that his parents depend on him and he will try his best never to dash their hopes. Such is the limitless confidence a Dragon-Child has in himself. On the negative side, as an extreme case, he might turn out to be a bully if he is made to go in with his assertive ways without any encumbrance. He is very proud and self-sufficient, so if he falters, he regards himself as a loser. It is up to his parents to comfort him with the idea that both success and failure are very much a part of our lives.
